I have always lived on or near water and I love the endless patterns that it creates. These paintings are an attempt to work with such patterns. I think of this as my fluid style. This starts from the popular acrylic pour technique. However, I use multiple, small pours, bounding the paint and moving it with brushes and other tools. I have created my own brushes to help accomplish this. In some paintings I also pour a mix of paint onto glass to form a skin and attach it to the surface.
Place the cursor over a picture to see a zoomed view. The paintings that use metallics are difficult to see properly in a photo. You can click on those to see a brief animation with moving light. Unfortunately, this still isn't as good as seeing the painting in person.
Note that any nudity in these paintings has been "airbrushed" out to make this a "PG" site. You can see the originals on Instagram.
